» Less To Say: Utopia
672 words. #5 of 5, finally. Hope you enjoyed them- lord knows I enjoyed writing them, almost 2 years ago now. Perhaps you'll see something newer here? Hard to say.

» The Moon
Ten minutes, from the prompt "Moon." 434 words, written instead of answering "Describe your education and career goals." No fandom, no character stealing, but perhaps more than a little inspiration from Snow Patrol's "Beginning To Get To Me."

» Exhaustion
When it rains, it pours, doesn't it? This was supposed to be a drabble, but I got carried away. As tends to happen when doing something one is not supposed to be doing (analysis of Petrarch? Hm?).
1771 words, hardly edited; as usual, no fandom, but inspired by P&P. Written in 50 minutes, from the cue "exhaustion." You know I love comments...

» Less To Say: You Can't Read Shakespeare Silently
385 words; again, no fandom, but apply it where you like. #2 of 5 from the series Less To Say. Possibly my favorite of the 5. Enjoy (and leave feedback if you can be bothered).

» Less To Say: Barefoot
Almost a year with no entry. How depressing. With that in mind, I present you with a series of drabbles. Originally written in English, then translated into Italian for class.
252 words; no fandom, but inspired by P&P. #1 of 5 from the series Less To Say; do pester me if I don't post the next one within a few days. I'm forgetful.

» The First Day of Winter
Some mindless drabbling in the midst of my own studying. Inspired by the sudden downpour that occurred outside my window, and the ease of relating to the main character.
1329 words, spit out in under an hour No fandom, but you can apply it to P&P if you'd like

Nominated for the "Dark Angst" category at hourglassawards.
Written in fifteen minutes or so, based on a photo of a handprint (heh, go figure) which can be found here. Rated PG for angsty stuff, I suppose. Lily/James, of course, in the midst of the war.

So, erm, hi, haven't posted here in a while, it seems. My apologies. But it's time for a resurrection! Or at least an update. We've done some revamping of the page, so it looks all pretty- check it out if you like. The picture is mine, although you can't really see it. And there's a new color scheme. Yes.
In other news, I've been nominated for a couple of fics over at hourglassawards, so you should swing by and check that out. And nominate more, if you're so inclined.
Some of you (or the one of you who actually reads my stuff) may be wondering about After All These Years. Well, the fact of the matter is that it's practically finished. The story itself is complete; just the epilogue needs some reworking. So why don't you keep busy by reaquainting yourself with the story, and I'll post up some more stuff in a somewhat timely manner. If you're really that desperate, some of my latest stuff is over at fanfiction.net - http://www.fanfiction.net/~beatrixbloxam You can also find some of my favorite stories and authors there, as well.

Welcome to the first of my many, many stories posted here. This is a fairly recent one, hence why it's being put up first ^__^ Anyway, feel free to leave comments, criticism, etc- any rude remarks WILL be thrown back, however ^__~ Enjoy!

What do Lily Evans, Professor Binns and blueberry pie have to do with each other? Fortunately for me, everything.

» Welcome!
Hello all!
Welcome to my latest journal! I'm Beatrix, your friendly Harry Potter fanatic and writer, nice to meet you, all that good stuff. This is my place for posting my writing adventures- Harry Potter fanfic, regular fiction, nonfiction, screenplays, etc. etc. Easier than posting at 5 different sites, I've decided. Anyway, I'll be posting my stories slowly but surely- please read and enjoy them, and if you have anything to say, leave a comment! I'll appreciate it and love you forever. Really.
My user name is taken from one of those obscure Harry Potter references- you've got to love it ^__^ Beatrix Bloxam was an author in the wizarding world during the early nineteenth century, renowned for her "Toadstool Tales" series for children. Alas, her books were banned because they caused nausea and vomiting. Hence my titles *points* Hopefully my writing will not cause the same. And my name is, surprise surprise, actually NOT Beatrix, but I figure it's a lovely pen name. And Kill Bill is an awesome movie, so it's got several meanings. Geeks unite!
Right, so, thanks for stopping by- you can check out my other LJ for insight into the real me and other non-writing related babbling. Enjoy!
